my 1977 westifallia voltswagon bus with fuel injection

van runs but wont idle.tried to adjust some things but didnt make a difference.also can here it miss firing or back firing.The voltswagon official manual does'nt seem to have any information on fuel injection. heeellllppp please!

Does it run good when driving it or is that when it misses or backfires?

Have you checked you distributor cap and rotor?
