i have a 2004 Golf--I pulled the hood release and then went to pull the plastic tag in the front--it

i tried reaching under the hood to see if therewas sosmething I could pull or push to at least get the hood open but couldn't find anything to pull or push--it needs oil too

Aperschetz,

There is a piece you can grab to pull open the hood but it requires tools you probably don't have.
Directly in the grill area behind where the tab was you can reach in with pliers or a pick tool. There is normally
a small plastic piece that is snapped into the grill that goes around the plastic release. You probably need to
pop that loose to get to it.
