Danny has been working on VWs for over 10 years. He started off working on his 1960’s Beetles, tuning dual carburetor setups and modifying the engines. After high school he enlisted in the Army as a mechanic and opted to be sent to Germany where he learned German so he could communicate with people to get parts for his German spec 1988 Golf. He took his ASE certifications while on leave before being deployed and became an ASE Master Auto Technician. In 2005 he was sent to Iraq and spent a year there as a mechanic in Baghdad supporting the war effort by repairing and maintaining convoy vehicles. After returning to Germany and making Sergeant he was honorably discharged, returned home, and was offered a job as a technician at a local dealership near Seattle, Washington.
Danny has been Volkswagen certified since 2008 and recently left the dealership to focus on his business. Besides this website he also runs a mobile VW and Audi repair business with many happy customers in the Seattle area.
He currently lives with his wife and 1 year old son. He enjoys modifying his 1988 Golf, brewing beer, and spending time with his wife watching their son get bigger every day.
